Skunkworks Australia awarded a Special Mention for their Telco Perl telephony application technology.
Australian Telecommunications User Group (ATUG) made the announcement at the 20th awards dinner held in Sydney Australia 8th March 2005.
ATUG recognise outstanding performance and contributions made by Australians in the dynamic Telecommunications Industry. The purpose of the Awards is to promote innovation and the development of World Class or World Best Practices in Telecommunications.
Skunkworks' Telco Perl gained the special mention for the unique method of embedding open source Perl application software into a telco-grade environment. This innovation for the first time brings endless flexibility into robust continuous running telephony applications.
