SkunkWorks Australia is a winner in the 2004 IT Secrets Competition.

Winners were announced last night in Sydney by Senator Helen Coonan, Federal Minister for Communications Information Technology & the Arts.

IT Secrets has become the foremost competition in the Australian Information and Communications Technology scene, selecting Australia's most innovative ICT companies and research organisations.

Paul Holloway, South Australian Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Mineral Resources Development will present the awards to winners based in South Australia on Friday 26th November.

The prize includes assistance to develop international markets in regions such as USA, Europe and Asia.

SkunkWorks Australia is a developer of telephony software toolkits. Their flagship product Telco Perl enables users to write and deploy telephony applications with endless flexibility, a refreshing break-through as compared to traditional proprietary systems that have restricted capability and high cost.

"This is a significant and proud achievement for our young company" said Bill Oborn, SkunkWorks' Sales & Marketing Director.

"We launched our Whirlwind and Telco Perl telephony toolkit at the ITU-Telecom World Geneva in October 2003 and have gained carriers as clients in Europe and Australia, plus service providers and government and we look forward to leveraging this award to advance our growth into new regions" he said.
