SkunkWorks Australia today announced the addition of Scan Soft's Speechify text-to-speech into the Whirlwind telephony toolkit.
Whirlwind already supported Aculab's TTS engine for British English, American English, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian and Spanish languages. Unlimited Aculab TTS licenses are included with Whirlwind at no additional fees.
Adding Speechify TTS to Whirlwind provides another option for users. Speechify provides exceptional quality of synthesised speech in British English, American English, Australian English, German, French, French Canadian, Americas Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese languages.
Whirlwind is SkunkWorks Australia's telephony software toolkit for voice, fax, conference, TTS, speech recognition and protocol conversion services. Applications are managed from the Telco Perl interface making it accessable to millions of people who have some awareness of Perl, thereby avoiding the cost and delay of training your staff in a proprietary language.
