SkunkWorks Australia, an Australian based software company, has released a prototype turnkey mobile phone surveillance device called See3g.

It operates on GSM, CDMA or 3g mobile networks and includes both the remote surveillance device plus the network centric telephony service so that users can view remote images via an internet browser.

Managing Director, Richard Clarke, said that he is looking for a partner to take on the remote device so that SkunkWorks can focus on their core business of software development.

"SkunkWorks is primarliy a provider of network centric telephony services for public netork operators and corporations", he said.

He added "See3g is ideal for surveillance in areas where there is no easy access to physical phone lines, such as moored boats, remote infrastructure like farms or work camps, and temporary tasks such as watching events or suspected hot-spots".
